925 Stirling Silver We start by making each piece of jewellery out of 925 sterling silver. The reason we use sterling silver over pure silver for our jewellery is because pure silver is too soft. Sterling silver is significantly stronger and more durable making it perfect for jewellery. All of our sterling silver pieces are stamped with 925 and are Nickel, Lead and Copper free. 18k Gold Vermeil All our gold jewellery is made from 925 silver as a base metal then we use Gold Vermeil (pronounced 'ver-may'), a superior alternative to standard gold plating. This premium technique uses a 925 sterling silver base coated with a thick 2.5 micron layer of 18k solid gold. This results in a luxurious and durable finish, which can withstand everyday wear.
