18k Gold Vermeil

Our gold pieces are crafted from a base of solids 925 sterling silver, and then coated with a thick (2.5micron) later of 18k gold vermeil. Gold vermeil is significantly more durable gold plating.  This richer layer gives a warm, long-lasting gold finish designed for everyday wear. Each piece is then sealed with an e-coating to provide added protection against tarnish, fading and scratching. The result is a premium gold product that holds its shine beautifully and is safe for sensitive ears.

925 Silver Rhodium Plated

Our silver pieces are made from solid 925 sterling silver and finished with a protective layer of rhodium, a rare and durable metal in the platinum family.  Rhodium enhances the shine and brightness of the silver while adding strong resistance to tarnish and wear. This finish helps each piece maintain its clarity and smoothness over time, even with daily use.  It's an ideal option for sensitive ears, offering long-lasting comfort and durability.

• Our jewellery is water-resistant and tarnish-resistant, and designed for everyday wear. A little care will help keep it looking its best for longer.
• Water isn’t always just water. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, skincare, perfume, sunscreen, chlorine and salt can build up on your jewellery and may dull or affect the finish over time.
• This is particularly important with earrings, where products can become trapped around your piercing and on the part of the earring sitting inside or close to your ear.
• We recommend regularly removing your jewellery, rinsing with fresh water, dry thoroughly and gently polish with a soft jewellery cloth to remove product build-up.
• Showering is fine, but for the longest-lasting finish we recommend removing your jewellery before swimming, particularly in chlorinated pools, and before using spas, saunas or steam rooms. If worn, don't panic. Simply rinse well with fresh water afterwards and dry thoroughly.
• Tarnishing and discolouration can be influenced by your skin’s natural oils and pH, moisture, chemicals, beauty products, chlorine, salt and how your jewellery is stored.
• If your jewellery comes into contact with chemicals, rinse with fresh water, dry and gently polish.
• For a deeper clean, use warm water, a small amount of mild soap and a very soft toothbrush. rinse thoroughly and dry completely. avoid harsh jewellery cleaners, abrasive cloths and strong chemicals, particularly on plated pieces.
• When not being worn, store your jewellery somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Keep pieces separated to help prevent scratching and tangling, and avoid long-term storage in the bathroom.
• Avoid knocking your jewellery against hard surfaces and remove it for activities where it may be scratched, bent or damaged.

Can I really sleep in them?
Yes. Lovey Huggies are petite and feather-light, with no traditional butterfly back digging into your head. They’re designed to be comfortable enough for all-day and all-night wear.
Can I shower, swim and exercise in them?
Yes. Lovey Huggies are made for real life. They’re water-resistant and sweat-proof, so you can shower, swim, exercise in them but it’s important to make sure they avoid any chemicals (shampoo, conditioners, creams) that have the potential to damage them.
Are they suitable for sensitive ears?
Yes. Lovey uses a solid 925 sterling silver base, and the earrings are hypoallergenic, nickel-free and lead-free.
Will the gold tarnish or fade?
Lovey uses a thick 2.5 micron layer of 18K gold vermeil rather than standard fashion plating. Each piece is then sealed with a protective ceramic e-coating to add protection against tarnishing, fading and scratching.
Are the charms removable?
Yes. Slide the Aura charms on or off whenever you want to change the look. Wear the Huggies plain, add your Aura charms or swap in other Lovey charms as your collection grows.
Are they easy to put in?
The Huggies use a secure click closure, so you can feel when they’re properly locked into place. Once they’re in, the whole idea is that you don’t need to keep taking them on and off.
How do I know whether Huggies will fit me?
